The new
iPhone 3GS goes on sale tomorrow in Singapore, but we managed to get hold of a review unit yesterday (for the rest of Asia, click
here). We also have the earlier
iPhone 3G and the
HTC Touch Diamond2 with us. So naturally we pitted this trio of popular touchscreen smartphones in three real-world speed tests: Starting up, Web browser rendering and playing a clip on the YouTube app. Oh, and don't miss the bonus round at the end!

Shall we do another browser speed test when Opera 9.7 come out? Read somewhere that the render speed is supposed improve significantly with the new "Opera Turbo" feature.
Looks like Winmo cant match Iphone 3Gs and 3G (it doesn't even have HSDPA!). But well I still cant convince myself to move to the Apple camp, as it lacks of multi-tasking capability, UI customization flexibility, and yes removable battery? Haa..
Just my own opinion, hopefully it doesn't start another "Iphone is the best" war

Personally I too, agree that when selecting these handhelds, it should be based on needs instead of these "speed" tests. In that sense, none of them are best, and they are only 'suitable' depending on individual cases. All those wars on "Iphone is best" are from those who need to really sort out their personal insecurities.
