Samsung launches Singapore's first 3D gaming LCD

Darius Chang  |  Jul 03, 2009

Though it's not the first vendor to pump out a 3D gaming panel, Samsung's 2233RZ 3D 22-inch LCD is the first to hit the sunny island state.

3D has been the holy grail of immersive gaming. This Samsung monitor works with Nvidia's GeForce 3D Vision Kit which is compatible with specific models of Nvidia graphics cards to transform a 2D game into a 3D experience. However, not all games can be rendered in the third dimension, so before you put down S$429 (US$305.58) for the monitor and US$149 for the Nvidia 3D Vision Kit, check out the list of compatible titles here.

Other features of the ful-HD panel include a 20,000:1 contrast ratio and 3ms response time. The Samsung 2233RZ is already available in stores throughout Asia.
