Palm Pre to launch in the UK

We just gave an update on the status of the GSM Pre yesterday, and today, British new site The Guardian is reporting that carrier O2 has clinched the deal in the UK. Palm will apparently confirm this next week, according to the same article.
If it is true, this would pave the way for the Pre to reach Asia with its much-vaunted webOS platform--since the UK uses the same GSM network as most of our region does. We'll bring you more news as it unfolds in the coming week.
