Sorry, not for me the oodles of patience required for intricate paper folding to assemble incredible stuff like this astoundingly tiny
DS lite with working hinge. I did go so far as to print out one of
Yamaha's paper-folding kits (well, I did) after Mike our blogger wrote about it. But that was the extent of my
exinspiration.
However, if you're the sort who likes the origami-boggling challenge of papercraft, and can chopstick up minute paper sculptures with just toothpick, glue, scissors and nimble fingers, check out the
DIY Paper Speakers from gadget maker Princeton. These have a nice retro spin to them. Even better, they're real working PC speakers as there's a teensy 3W amp and 1W speaker, with 3.5mm audio jack and USB cable bundled in the kit. These ship this month in Japan (but of course) at 1,980 yen (US$20.45) each.
