A version of Palm's operating system, webOS, was let loose on the Internet by the company through its Web site. Enthusiasts have gone through the ROM image and found an interesting tidbit--the mention of product codenames "pixie" and "castle". The castle is likely to be the existing Palm Pre, but speculation is rife that pixie refers to the Palm Eos leaked by AT&T earlier this year.
It's no secret that Palm has a GSM product planned for its new webOS. With this mentioned in the existing software, the company could even be all ready for it. This would pave the way for a webOS debut in Asia because the Pre, in its current CDMA form, can't be used in our region.
