Other tidbits:
29 carriers, including SoftBank, Bharti, Vodafone, Hutchison Telecom, Optus, Telstra and SingTel, will support the MMS feature with the OS 3.0.
The iPhone 3GS is expected to retail in 80 countries by August.
The 8GB iPhone 3G will be getting a price cut to US$99. Check with your local telco operator by clicking on the above links for more details.
Tethering works with Macs and PCs, via USB or Bluetooth. There's no need for additional software but it requires carrier support.
