Sony, Samsung and LG have all announced their ultraslim LED TVs for the home consumer market. JVC is eyeing a different market segment with its upcoming GD-32X1. The company has its sights set on the potentially lucrative retail, office and medical space with its 32-incher based on the latest LED-edgelit technology. This gives the monitor (Read: No onboard TV tuner) a sleek 6.4mm-thin side profile at its slimmest section and a high 4,000:1 native contrast ratio to boot. Since the GD-32X1 weighs only 5.7kg, JVC claims that this panel can be installed using a variety of unique methods. These range from hanging off ceilings to moving glass stands, and sliding doors.

Another key feature is the GD-32X1's dedicated 36-bit Genessa Premium video processor that performs motion-compensated noise reduction. JVC did not reveal any regional availability of this full-HD panel, though it'll be launched in Japan from late August this year.
