Sony Ericsson X2 leaked

The Xperia X1 was Sony Ericsson's first, and so far, only Windows Mobile phone. If the leaked photos and specs are to be believed, it will be joined by the Xperia X2 in time.

Like the first iteration, the X2 has a landscaped-oriented slide-out design which reveals a QWERTY keypad. The most significant change is the larger screen--a 3.5-inch WVGA OLED display. The OS powering it will be Windows Mobile 6.5 and this will be complemented by the Panels interface first seen on the X1. Interestingly, it's supposed to have 512MB of RAM, much more than the maximum 288MB we've seen in HTC products like the Touch Pro2 and Diamond2. What's more, it will also come with an 8.1-megapixel camera, up from 3.2 megapixels on the X1.

The Japanese-Swedish brand will be announcing new products during CommunicAsia in Singapore next week, so we'll know soon if the X2 is one of them.
