We already know the
N97 is shipping globally this month, but the question on everyone's minds is: What will the S60 5th edition smartphone cost? We now have the details. At a media event held in Kuala Lumpur this evening, the Finns revealed that the N97 will cost...deep breath...S$1,028 (US$741.06) for Singapore and RM2,480 for Malaysia.
Update:
We've been told, aside from Singapore and Malaysia, the N97 will also be available in Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines and Bangladesh though no dates were mentioned.
A
Comes With Music edition of the N97 will also be available in Singapore at a sticker price of S$1,228 (US$885.24). The N97 sold in both countries will be bundled with a three-month GPS subscription. We'll naturally have a full review shortly. Meanwhile, you can find out more about the smartphone in our hands-on
here and video First Looks
here. We've also put the
N97 and Touch Pro2 side by side for a quick rundown of their features.

I will consider buying a Netbook with HSDPA and it will still be lower than S$1028. Basically I don't expected it to be sold more than $800 in Singapore given the differences from Nokia 5800 are only adding keyboard, upgrade camera(5 megapixels is still not enough) and a 32GB flash memory.
