Crave Asia

BenQ's LED projector "landing" in Japan

Remember the Dell M109S? Here's its Taiwanese twin based on the same DLP technology and the latest LED lighting. However, the bigger BenQ GP1 is more of an all-rounder and features onboard video playback via its USB port and a 2W speaker. These convert the 54 x 146 x 120mm beamer into a miniature mobile home theater complete with wall color correction for movie on-the-go.

There's just one major problem. The elusive GP1 is not available in Singapore and most other Asia markets. But if you're determined to get yourself a unit, it'll be launched in Japan from next week at 69,000 yen (US$715).
