News of a yet-to-announced LG Blu-ray DVR has surfaced recently. According to tech site HDTV lounge, the LG HR400 is slated for the European market and will be launched in the continent pretty soon. Specifications-wise, the recorder has an integrated DVB-T digital TV tuner and a rather conservative 160GB disc drive compared with the
Japanese equivalent's terabyte capacity.
As a Blu-ray player, the HR400 will support the latest BD-Live advanced interactivity for downloading Web-based content and 1080p DVD upscaling. Other enticing features include updated DivX HD-compatibility as well as YouTube video streaming. There's no firm indication as to availability, though it's expected to cost a whopping 599 euros (US$858).
