Higher resolution cameras to be unveiled at CES 2009? (Credit: Canon)
I guess the megapixel race will never end. According to a
SmartHouse report, we can expect to see higher-resolution cameras (dSLRs and point-and-shoots) at CES 2009 next week.
The tradeshow will take place in Las Vegas from January 8 to 10 and there will be a variety of conferences that focus on digital imaging topics. Not only will established speakers talk about the technology revolving around cameras, issues concerning the storage of digital pictures will be discussed as well.
SmartHouse also mentioned that brands such as Sony, Samsung and Panasonic will unveil high-megapixel models. We have yet to hear anything from the companies and will update once we get more news.
CNET Asia will be reporting from the showfloor at CES 2009, so check back with us then for the latest updates.

Higher resolution? I dont think higher resolution will be getting better quality? I would rather prefer longer zoom for Prosumers, with added Optical Viewfinder for (battery saving?)...
