Along with a
new range of laptops, Sony's all-in-one desktops are getting some love as three new models will be hitting the PC scene. The VAIO JS and VAIO LN are 20.1-inch numbers, while those who require a larger display will probably take a second look at the 24-inch VAIO LV.
Sony VAIO JS
Available in pink, silver or brown, the VAIO JS is an entry-level all-in-one priced at an affordable S$2,199 (US$1,580.31). Though its graphics and processing powers are nothing to shout about, it has a sleek and clean design despite being bundled with a wired keyboard and mouse.
Specifications:
Core 2 Duo E7200 processor 2.53GHz
2GB RAM
20.1-inch 1,680 x 1,050-pixel display
320GB HDD
256MB Nvidia GeForce 9300M GS graphics card
DVD writer
Five USB 2.0, FireWire, SDHC/MMC/Memory Stick card reader, Webcam
Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth
Windows Vista Home Premium
Sony VAIO LN
For those with deeper pockets, the VAIO LN ups the ante by including a Blu-ray combo drive as well as an integrated TV tuner. Though its display does not have full-HD resolution, this all-in-one includes an HDMI output to hook up with a larger screen.
But expect to fork out a hefty S$3,299 (US$2,370.82) for this unit.

Sony VAIO LV
This top-of-the-line model has all the goodies of the VAIO LN, except that it is equipped with a larger full-HD display that can show Blu-ray movies in all its glory. For S$4,499 (US$3,233.20), we actually expected a faster graphics card. But for rendering even high-definition videos, the GeForce 9300M GS should suffice.
