Shooting movies in the past required dedicated HD camcorders, but things are changing with Canon and its full-HD movie recording-enabled
EOS 5D Mark II. Photographer Vince Laforet has
demonstrated how capable this function is, and we think it's only a matter of time before filmmakers switch their gears.
Redrock Micro, a company that manufactures rail mounts and focusing rigs for video cameras, has announced similar fixtures for the Canon dSLR. This goes to show how much importance the firm is placing on this innovation and we think it is good move to steer the industry in new directions.
These accessories will be made available on Redrock's
Web site on October 28, so aspiring filmmakers can head there to take a look.
