Remember those
X-mini and X-mini Max capsule speakers that we Craved about previously? Well, they're about to get a sibling of sorts. Singapore-based company XM-I will be launching A2DP Bluetooth-enabled stereo headphones, nicknamed X-mini BLU, which can switch from music listening to answer phone calls at a button touch. We haven't had the pleasure of testing this out yet, but going by the X-minis' track record, this ought to deliver on the money.
Specs-wise, this comes with a wireless built-in microphone, a Smart Call Control System which handles the toggling between music and mobile calls seamlessly, a 12-hour playtime and 800 hours on standby. The 72g headset is also foldable with a behind-the-neck design, and is apparently moisture and perspiration-resistant, which at least shows the designers have taken the humidity of the Tropics into consideration, not to mention gym users.
XM-I is bundling this together with an
X-mini capsule speaker, with no plans to retail the BLU separately. Which is a pity for those already owning either the original capsule speaker or the double-barrelled
X-mini Max. The X-mini BLU will be priced at S$138, and will ship regionally and globally by mid-November. And a little update here: For the US, XM-I has set the price at US$99.
