Motorola goes high-fashion with AURA

When was the last time you looked at a Moto phone and uttered "OK I want one of these"? The RAZR perhaps, but it's been a long while since then. Granted that a US$1,999.99 luxury handset isn't targeted at the mass market, the AURA is admittedly gorgeous no matter how you look at it.

Remember the V70? The AURA is a totally pimped-out version of the swivel phone and boasts of a world's first 16-million color circular display on a mobile device with a hand-sculpted front chassis that takes two weeks to create. If that's not enough, the 62-carat sapphire crystal lens and Swiss-made main bearing will have you crying out for one now.

If you are still with us, the AURA is currently available for pre-order now at the Moto Store and shipment will begin on December 4. Yes, Moto, we heard you. It's good to have another iconic product, but we are going to consider this as a one-off item. Because you should focus more on getting the right features into your mass market and midrange phones. The clock is ticking.
