Call her Sheylara. She's the new brand ambassador and gaming consultant under Microsoft's new Xbox Xperts initiative. A blogger, avid gamer and former gaming magazine editor, Sheylara will help foster the Singapore Xbox Live community by engaging gamers via live message chats. These will take place through Xbox Live on every Friday and Saturday from 8 to 11pm, though the sessions are strictly business (what else, dude?) and limited to Xbox 360-related questions.
Besides signing on Sheylara, the Redmond company will also be rewarding new Xbox Live Gold subscribers with a pair of complementary movie tickets worth up to S$20 (US$13.38), delivered right to their doorsteps. The Xbox Live Gold subscription is currently priced at S$88 (US$58.89), S$34.90 (US$23.36) and S$13.90 (US$9.30) for 12, three and one month, respectively. This allows 360 users to continue enjoy online gaming and other privileges after consuming the bundled one-month subscription free with each console.
Alan Chou, regional market manager for Xbox 360, has further outlined his future plans for the Singapore market. These include even more gaming hits such as the upcoming Gears of Wars 2 and the following:
