Optus announces pre-paid iPhone 3G plans for Down Under

Damian Koh  |  Jul 03, 2008

The Web site is a little wonky now, but what we do know is that the 8GB model will be available for A$729 (US$701) and the 16GB version for A$849 (US$816) on the Optus pre-paid plans in Australia.

The handsets will be locked to the Optus network, but can be unlocked for A$80 (US$77) within six months from the activation date, or if the phone is recharged to a similar value.

Optus is also offering unlimited Internet browsing until August 31 for new customers who are on the Turbo Cap plan.
