We just saw
Dell's semi-undercover attempt at a small, inexpensive laptop, and now Acer is getting in on the action, if these leaked shots of something called the Acer Aspire One are to be believed.
First spotted on the Web site
UMPC Portal, and then
quickly spreading around
blogville, it
purportedly has a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, 512MB of RAM, a 4GB SSD hard drive, and runs Windows XP on an 8.9-inch screen (like the ASUS Eee PC 900).
No release date or price yet, but there's a strong possibility we'll see this unveiled at Computex Taipei this coming week, so stay tuned. Also expected at that show are the
ASUS Eee PC 901 (with Intel's Atom) and a slightly larger 10-inch version of the Eee PC.
