More Xbox 360 joy for less

While Sony has pulled a quickie and slapped on a pricier S$599 (US$431.28) sticker tag on its 40GB PlayStation 3, Microsoft has gone the exact opposite direction across the board for its Xbox 360s. Effective from April 29, the Arcade, 20GB Pro and 120GB Elite models will be priced at S$399 (US$287.28), S$499 (US$359.28) and S$699 (US$503.28), respectively. The price revision makes perfect sense, too, since this will give its hard drive-equipped Pro package a lot more leeway against its rival's offering.

I have been waiting for Xbox360 to have a price reduction. Now I can go and get a Xbox360 Arcade to be a media extender for my living room. This come in really handy when we have guests. They can either play some arcade games or we can share out some holiday videos or pictures as chit chat subject. Note, I am not a Xbox360 staff, I juz felt that the mentioned sub-function of Xbox360, rocks. Cheers

@Hillary - doesn't look like it. I scouted the whole Funan today couldn't find a 20GB PS3 and worse still, all the S$599 PS3 requires you to buy at least one game on top of the S$599. Interestingly, Challenger doesn't sell any Sony consoles although they sell XBOX and Wii
