Dual-core UMPCs on the horizon

Darius Chang  |  Mar 12, 2008

Intel's recently announced its Atom platform--designed exclusively for UMPCs--which offers only a speed bump.

According to the leaked roadmap, the Intel Atom 300 series chip is a two-headed petite monster running at 1.87GHz. Little else was uncovered, but the suspected release date is in the third quarter of this year. We'll keep you updated as we find out more.
