Photos: ThinkPad X300

Michelle Thatcher  |  Feb 22, 2008

Lenovo's much-anticipated competitor to the MacBook Air finally arrived in the CNET US office this morning. The skinny ultraportable laptop may look a bit square--it is a ThinkPad, after all--but its 13.3-inch screen, full-size keyboard, and built-in DVD burner earned admiring glances from multiple passersby.

We're busy at work on the review, but in between benchmark runs this afternoon, we took some photos of this, the sleekest ThinkPad yet. Take a spin through our ThinkPad X300 slideshow, and keep an eye on our site for the complete review and CNET Editors Rating.

thinness wins & will be the name of the game for all to get to the ultimate form factor & true mobility. but how much cost do manufacturers are willing to shave off from their profit margin & how much does an average joe wants to spend for these? time will come...

the thinnest ThinkPad ever... sigh, and it even supports an extra batt in its optical drive bay... hey, till fuel cells and miniture jet turbines comes on the market, this is as good as it gets for a laptop of this size. come on, Lenovo. Let's see a Tablet PC version for this ;p
