Now I'm sure we're all pretty excited (or maybe it's just me) about the upcoming S60 Touch user interface, but if it's anything, I'd go so far as to say that the software still has some ways before its launch in the second half of the year. If the iPhone had not existed, then yes, I'd probably be amazed by the whole finger-swiping action to browse Web pages and scroll entries in the contacts folder and pictures in the albums. But who are we kidding? Enough talk. Hit the read more link to check out the YouTube video posted on the S60 blog.
vahidy says... In the 'pre iPhone' times this would really have been some thing really huge! But now is the time for Nokia to think bigger and act quicker. The high end devices being churned out by the finnish compnay like the N95 8Gb are feature rich and power packed; they would sell anyway - and may be that is exactly what they (manufacturers) thrive on. What Nokia should actually realize is that coming out with a touch interface (whenever that happens) is following... not Leading!
vin8tan says... The only reason why i didn't even consider a N95 - have it all powerhouse- is that it lacked a touch interface, and was disappointed to hear that N96, is still not a touch screen phone.
