Ever wondered how professionals shoot those outrageously slow motion videos? Well, you don't have to much longer. According to a Casio representative, the Exilim Pro EX-F1 is expected to be on store shelves in Singapore come March. Wider Asian availability and pricing details were not available at the time of this writing, but you can expect the EX-F1 to make you poorer by approximately US$1,000. In return, you get to show off to your friends the expensive slow-mo wizardry that this Casio conjures. Like bursting a balloon filled with water and watching each single droplet take flight.
What's powering this cool feature is the camera's amazing ability to shoot videos at a maximum 1,200 frames per second. That's 40 times faster than most compact digital cameras out there. But there's a catch. At that frame rate, the video has to be scaled down to a paltry 336 x 96-pixel resolution. You can also shoot marginally slower at 600fps or 300fps, which will still give you an unbelievable amount of details at more acceptable resolutions of 432 x 192 and 512 x 384, respectively.
