Windows phone with mouse cursor

John Chan  |  Sep 20, 2007

An interesting video has popped up which shows a Samsung PDA-phone with a trackball-like control. This was apparently shot during the GITEX event in the Middle East earlier in the month.

The person who shot the video, going by the name DinarSoft, also posted specifications of the new device on Pocket PC Thoughts, a Windows Mobile enthusiast site. This new device is supposedly named the i780 and comes with HSDPA connectivity, a 320 x 320-pixel display, Windows Mobile 6 Professional and an optical mouse which controls the pointer on the screen. We expect that this will be similar to the one found on the Raon Digital Everun UMPC.

In a separate dealer event in Amsterdam, this new handheld along with a host of other new phones were featured as well. We are waiting for the official word from Samsung, so just enjoy the video in the meantime.
