Nokia 8800 Sirocco levels up with Gold

Damian Koh  |  Apr 16, 2007

We all know that exclusivity comes at a price. What better way to illustrate it than with an 18-carat gold plating on the new Sirocco.
The price we're talking about here is S$1,888 (US$1,242.11). We could think of a million and one ways to spend that kind of money, but for those to whom a Vertu is out of reach, the Sirocco Gold looks like an equally flashy handset without the excessive sticker shock.

Expect the unit to be in stores by this week. For that price, you also get a matching desk stand and Bluetooth headset. On the specifications front, the Sirocco Gold edition is similar to its triband predecessor made from high-quality stainless steel, complete with a 2-megapixel camera at the rear.
