According to ATRACLife, a blog about all things Sony, fans of the Japanese firm will see the launch of its first video Walkman (outside of China) on March 1 in Germany. While Sony Electronics Asia Pacific would not comment on the new player, the aforementioned blog certainly had something to say. The NW-800 will follow the NW-A series form factor, be nano-slim and will be available in four colors: Black, blue, pink and violet. While further details will be known only on March 1, we won't be biting our nails. After all, we have been waiting years for this particular product announcement, so eight more days would hardly matter.
This has got to be one of the handiest and smallest lights we've come across. All you gotta do is snap a twin LED plastic cap onto a 9v battery, and voila! How cool is that? We've seen an equivalent of this in action, and we can vouch that the illumination it puts out is glaring enough to approximate natural sunlight. Ah, simply brilliant.
Price: US$25 Availability: More info here Device: LED light Specs: Two super-bright white LED bulbs, high/low & off modes, 10 cap color options, 9v battery Included, expected to last 100,000 hours
Palm Singapore has confirmed it will be introducing Windows Mobile 6-enabled Treos later this year. While the handheld maker did not specify which models in its current lineup would be upgradeable to the new mobile operating system, Microsoft's recent announcement of 21 new handhelds seems to indicate that the Treo 750v will be one of them.
Palm is currently working with carrier partners to determine when and how the transition to Windows Mobile 6 will take place. Stay tuned for more details.
The Treo 750v is currently the first and only Palm handheld with Windows Mobile OS in Asia. It was launched in October 2006, more than half a year after the company released its first Windows-based PDA-phone (Treo 700w) in the US.
We've got swivelly, flipping screens on a camera. So why not one that folds up like a clamshell phone? You could say this little origami gem was a flash of inspiration from designer Matthias Lange for his first term at the UK's Central Saint Martins, with the aim to create a camera design that would offer a new twist in more ways than one. Given that lens zoom mechanisms have undergone some incredible technological work, folding an optical one into the FLAPcam should be a snap? Oh, and love the Sony Ericsson Walkman colors.
The Sneaker Cozy Tunes Pillow looks like a bastardized Converse canvas shoe. Call it deconstruction, but it's something we would be hard put to walk in. The manufacturer thinks we would enjoy sleeping with music in our ears, but on a shoe? We don't know about you, but we know the family dog likes to rest its head on our Timberlands. Connects to any MP3 player with a 3.5mm audio jack and comes with a built-in speaker, but for any other tech features, don't hold your breath.
