Looks like our Chinese friends are in for a treat this vacation with the release of the Motorola ROKR E6. Nothing like the previous ROKRs, the E6 is in a design class of its own.
From December 6, the Fujitsu LifeBook Q2010--one the the slimmest ultraportables in existence--becomes even more mobile as it gets upgraded with a High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) slot for 3G wireless broadband service.
Launched at the same time as Singapore M1's HSDPA broadband plan, the LifeBook should be able to hook onto the Internet wherever there is cellular coverage. However, note that the Q2010's 3G download speed peaks at 1,800kbps, which means it will not be able to maximize the high-end Broadband 3600 plan offered by M1.
The first wave of 3G-enabled LifeBook Q2010 will be sold during the upcoming SITEX show from November 30 to December 3, after which you will have to wait till December 6 to find it in Singapore retail stores. It goes for a cool S$5,888 (US$3,873.68), although units purchased between November 28 and December 24 will receive a S$1,000 (US$657.89) cash-back rebate to ease the strain on your wallet. Considering the older Q2010 without 3G capabilities costs the same as the new units and does not benefit from the rebate, Fujitsu is really pushing towards the freedom of wireless mobile broadband.
Despite the industrial-sounding marque, these Smeg chillers look downright groovy. Loads of colors to choose from to dress up your kitchen, though the one-tone fridges are a mite too reminiscent of Ikea play cupboards from the kids section. Our favs, naturally, are the ones that toss on the retro spunk, such as the cheerily rainbow-striped edition and Union Jack. These ones are certainly licensed to chill. Alternatively, if you're more inclined toward the bovine, you could beef up Gary Larson-style with Cowstickers to add some cool moo-ves to your icebox.
We love everything limited and we're quite sure you'll like this Lumix FX07 which comes in five unique designs.
Mind you, there are only 100 pieces for each make. The cameras are coated with a special lacquer finish and packed in a specially made paulownia wood box, Fareastgizmos wrote. Beyond that, technical specifications remain similar to the, erm, FX07, i.e. 7 megapixels, 3.6x optical zoom, 28mm wide-angle lens and whatnots. There's a price to pay, though, like every other toy that allows you to be one of the select few to own one. The Lumix will be available in Japan on December 12 for about US$516 and that's before you factor in your flight ticket to the Land of the Rising Sun.
Well, at least this is one camera box you won't trash.

Canelphones work by isolating outside noise from your ears. It's cheaper than noise-canceling headphones, too, since it does not involve additional electronic circuitry. Etymotic, makers of some pretty pricy canelphones is now offering a wireless version. Based on the same design as previous renditions, the ety8 comes with both stereo audio streaming (A2DP) and remote control (AVRCP) profiles. It's perfect for those who crave pristine audio fidelity. Pity about the pendant earring transmitter, though. No pricing details at the moment.
