HP wireless watch

Juniper Foo  |  Oct 16, 2006

Imagine a wearable wireless hub that sits right on your wrist (which is getting a trifle crowded with all the other wrist gadgets coming up). Pretty nifty, huh? Unfortunately, that's all you can right now, i.e. keep imagining. HP dreamed up the concept of a "personal area network" that can handle any wireless connection, be it Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, WiMax or 3G, while looking Tiffany pretty on your wrist. However, the nearest date that HP reckons this will be commercially available is 2016, a good decade later, by which time some of us would need help just putting on our dentures. Still, it's a worthy idea. And like all good ideas, this one may be worth waiting for. Check out the artist rendering meantime.
