If you were waiting to buy the new PowerShot G7, or any of the three IXUS cameras launched recently, well, you have to wait till mid-October. But at least you can start saving for it now.

Canon has announced at a local press launch the availability and prices of its latest lineup. At S$969 (US$712.50), the 10-megapixel PowerShot G7 isn't for everyone but targeted at enthusiasts who want to have manual controls on their shooter sans the bulk of a digital SLR.

Those who need their Titanium fix can opt for the IXUS 900 Ti which will cost S$769 (US$565.44) at launch. The other two IXUS--the 850 IS and i7 Zoom--will be priced at S$729 (US$536.03) and S$499 (US$366.91), respectively. All four cameras are slated to be available in stores from the second week of October.
