First unveiled at
HP's Big Bang event in Beijing, China, and placed under media embargo till the end of September, information about the HP Media Vault appears to have been let loose in the
blogging wild.
When CNET Asia was in the Middle Kingdom, we had a sneak peek of the American manufacturer's first attempt at a home network storage solution--the HP Media Vault. Looking like a small-form a factor PC, it features dual harddisk bays, Gigabit Ethernet, three USB 2.0 ports and support for up to 1.2TB capacity. For the paranoid among you, this NAS (network attached storage) is also capable of RAID 0/1 configurations.
Despite the leak, HP will only release the official specifications and pricing after September 29. We'll keep you updated when we know more. Unless, of course, there's another leak out there.
