Xbox 360 HD-DVD addon coming

We know you Xbox 360 fanatics have been waiting for this: The HD-DVD addon drive for your console. Wait no longer as the external drive will be available in Japan on November 22, according to Microsoft, for 19,800 yen (US$168).
To make the deal sweeter, you'll also get a Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote along with your purchase. In conjunction with the launch, Microsoft will add 1080p support to the console for games and movies over a component or VGA connection.
However, there's no word on when any of these would be available outside Japan. So for everyone else in the Asia-Pacific region, we're afraid you just have to hang in there or look elsewhere for your 1080p fix.
