Creative broadens its Vision

The Zen Vision W is just like its predecessor... with a difference. It will have a 4.3-inch widescreen display capable of a 480 x 272-pixel resolution. With a 16:9 screen, this will make the Vision W perfect for mobile movie fans. The portable video player will also feature a CF card slot. It will be launched on August 31 at COMEX Singapore at a price of S$649 (US$426.97) for the 30GB version and S$749 (US$492.76) for the 60GB model. This will be available August 31 and September, respectively.

Creative also announced at the same time a 60GB edition of its Creative Vision:M. This will retail for S$599 (US$394.08) and will feature, besides the bigger storage capacity, a USB Host feature. This enables the player to transfer digital images and data files bewteen camera/card reader and player without plugging into a PC. The M will reach retail shelves next month.

Previously, we mentioned that the Zen Vision W would feature a magnesium casing. However, further developments reveal that it may not be the case. We will update once we have further details.
