Canon has issued firmware updates for three of its popular digital SLRs: The EOS 30D, the EOS 5D and the EOS 1D Mark II N. Click here to the download page.

  • EOS 30D's firmware version 1.0.4 corrects Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese display problems on the LCD monitor.
  • EOS 5D's firmware version 1.0.5 fixes a bug on monochrome images on the camera and an issue with the shutter release when the unit is used with the EF 85mm F1.2L and Speedlite 580EX.
  • EOS 1D Mark II N firmware version 1.0.4 corrects a similar issue on monochrome images and overexposed pictures when using the focusing screen Ec-S.
