In what it claims to be the first for Singapore, Sony Singapore is rolling out its VAIO TX ultraportables in a color that should appeal to the fashion jetset. The new metallic copper hue will grace the lid of the VAIO VGN-TX27GP/T, alongside more common shades like Sapphire Black (VGN-TX27GP/B) and Platinum White (VGN-TX26GP/W).
Fashion sense aside, the series of notebooks is all business. It's targeting mobile warriors, delivering battery life of up to 8.5 hours with an Intel Pentium M Processor Ultra Low Voltage 753 (1.20GHz) powering the system the TX27GP and an Ultra Low Voltage 733 (1.10GHz) for the TX26GP.
Users familiar with the TX series will find the LCD has been trimmed down further, thanks to a newly developed White LED technology. Carbon-fiber materials continue to encase the notebook in a durable housing.
Street prices are S$3,999 and S$3,299 for the VGN-TX27GP and VGN-TX26GP, respectively.
