More on Motorola's gold RAZR

Reuben Lee  |  Dec 12, 2005

If hot pink wasn’t shocking enough, take a look at these official pictures of the recently announced gold RAZR V3i. While no price has been confirmed yet for the limited-edition handset, the US mobile maker expects the phone to start shipping only in the first quarter of 2006, possibly in time for Valentine's, at Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana (D&G) outlets.

There's more to just the shiny gold finish that makes this V3i a collector's item. According to the press release, the phone will come with a personalized background with screensaver, a tailored sound for powering up and down, an exclusive polyphonic ringtone and a video clip illustrating 20 years of D&G brand history. As further exclusivity, each phone will be individually numbered. Preorders have already started in selected European countries since December 7. More information on its availability for Asia is expected to be released soon.
