Jackito-Tactile Digital Assistant

The Jackito-TDA or Tactile Digital Assistant's been around for a good nine months. So there's no fear it'll make good on its promise to oust the PDA which is still very much alive. That said, the TDA is a pretty nifty handheld device in that it does away with the stylus and relies solely on the very tactile use of fingertips and thumbs to operate the menus. Developed by French firm Novinit, the Jackito sports two simultaneous touch points on opposite ends so you can input data with just your thumbs, which is much faster than a stylus. Or so the company claims, since none of us at CNETAsia has had the good fortune to play with one. While it comes preloaded with 20 applications, we're not sure what kind of third-party software exists out there which supports its 3ActilOS operating system.

This is a fantastic product!! is it real, is it a fake ??? I want to know.

For me Jackito is a sort of iPod (because of the fingers to manipulate it) but with a very larger landscape screen; and they have large memory, thanks to their double SD/MMC removable memorycards.
Isn't it the dream?

People are waiting for the Post-iPod device. and jackito would be the best for that.
Because iPod (one thumb on scrollwheel)is a fantastic product to search and click (music, photo, video) but I want to be able to run applications like games, to be able to calculate or to enter text and this is impossible with iPod but possible with Jackito (2 Thumbs on screen, no wheel, no stylus).

I've seen that Microsoft is working with the University of Maryland on new ''Thumb-Driven-Interface'' and they present Jackito and iPod as reference...
If the star Microsoft is working on this new interface this is very important.
Certainly, Jackito is working for Microsoft (spin-off or discret subsidiary,...)
