Here's one for the archives of Ripley's Believe It Or Not--a car which runs on just two AA batteries. With that tiny bit of juice, Panasonic's ultralight 18.5kg vehicle can propel a 50kg passenger 1.23km, traveling 65m in 74 seconds. The weird thing is this feat is simply to promote the company's new AA Digital Xtreme Power disposable camera batteries, which utilize a new vacuum pouring technology. We'll be waiting to see how Panasonic's breakthrough cells pit against fuel cells.
