Now Mitsubishi has rolled out what it claims is a fridge that can increase the vitamin content in your veggies and fruits--by about 10%. According to the Japanese company, three orange
Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) in the inner part of the vegetable compartment irradiate your greens at frequencies that stimulate photosynthesis, thus apparently raising the nutritional level. There're even charts of an experiment utilizing a cabbage to prove those claims, although it's unclear how long or what other things might well be growing on your veggies and fruits...
