Looks familiar? We almost did a double take, seeing as we are still longing for the jet-black version of the Nintendo DS Lite to hit our reviews lab. Okay, it's a long shot; it looks more like a PSP than a DS, but our editor seems to have a strong throwing arm.

Game on

JVJ, a Singapore-based company, has a portable video player that seems to pack as much bells and whistles as an Archos PVP. It plays videos, games, music, snaps pictures, take in SD/MMC cards to beef up its storage and packs in a dictionary for the lexicon-challenged. But for all its monolithic size and flighty joypad controls, the JVJ G6 has only a paltry 256MB memory. Talk about little things in big packages.

Tech specs:

  • 2.5-inch TFT display
  • Lithium battery
  • TV-in/out
  • SD/MMC card support
  • ASF video file format support
