AnyFill? That's the name of this bulky slugger we found squatting by its lonesome. The sign said it's a cell phone charger, but it looked more like it could make meals out of Lithium batteries. Poor souls.
Press the button and a tray will slide out ominously. Next, a mechanical female voice will instruct you to place a battery on it as an offering. Now watch as your quivering mobile phone cell is returned back into the black maw of the machine. Within seconds, we heard odd clicking sounds from the AnyFill. The dreaded iron maiden torture?
The man at the booth explained that when first inserted, multiple pins will probe the battery for the contact points. Once established, the AnyFill will begin the charging process and, for most mobile phone batteries, the maximum time taken to max it out is 20 minutes.
It's not limited to just phone batteries, either. Any Lithium power pack that falls within the requisite dimensions will work just as well. Our digital camera battery came out well fed and looked none the worse for wear from the experience. The man explained it's good for starting a mobile phone charging business. Now that sure beats having a lemonade stand instead, doesn't it? US$600+ each. Price will vary depending on the number of units bought.
