Canon EOS 5D Mark III specifications leaked

Rumored specifications of the Canon EOS 5D Mark II's successor have surfaced ahead of its release. Though details are scant at this point, Canon Rumors claims that the camera supposedly called the Canon EOS 5D Mark III or simply EOS 5DX could sport a 22-megapixel sensor and feature a 61-point autofocus system. Apart from a 3.2-inch LCD screen, the full-frame dSLR would also offer dual CF and SD memory card slots and provide users with a 100-percent coverage viewfinder.

It's been more than two years since the Canon EOS 5D Mark II was announced. With Nikon's 36-megapixel full-frame dSLRs already released, it comes as no surprise that Canon would be updating its 5D Mark II to compete with the D800 and D800E.

The rumor site states that the 5D Mark III may retail at US$3,500 and is slated to be announced on February 27 or 28. Do keep your eyes peeled as we bring you more information in the days to come.

It's been three and a half years since it was announced... > "it comes as no surprise that Canon would be updating its 5D Mark II to compete with the D800 and D800E. " The D800(E) hasn't been released yet, it was only announced a few weeks ago. The release of the next 5D has been anticipated for far longer than the announcement of the D800. > "Canon EOS 5D Mark III specifications leaked" > "Rumored specifications of the Canon EOS 5D Mark II's successor have surfaced ahead of its release." > "The rumor site states that the 5D Mark III may retail at..." Your sensationalist headline is pure garbage. You suck at your job.
