Japan tops Robot Density List (why do I still have to vacuum?)
Jan 7, 2009 16:56It's official. Japan has the most robots of them all, and rumor has it, all your base are belong to them.
From IEEE Spectrum, here's the definitive bar graph that proves it, showing Japan has 295 robots per 10,000 manufacturing workers. When you think about it, that is a hell of a lot of robots. Maybe that's why there weren't as many auto industry layoffs as everyone expected?

For more on neato Tokyo Robots, check out my visit to the Tokyo University of Technology last year when I got to play with some way cool toys!
