A few good men: Indonesian top blog designers
Oct 30, 2006 17:35How lucky we are living in today's Internet era. You can easily find many good and generous guys who kindly provided many free and useful things for all.
That's why it's so easy to find helpful and voluntary netters in cyberspace. So it goes, too, in the land of the blogosphere. If you want to create your own blog, you can freely choose a blog design templates that you like. Just download and install it. So simple.
There are hundreds of bloggers or blog designers who offer blog templates for free. Among them are Indonesians. Their templates had been downloaded by bloggers from around the world. Some of them have also won blog design competitions.
I've tried some of their templates for my blogs. I like it. I am sure you'll like them, too. Would you like to try? Just simply visit their blogs. Here they are at: Isnaini, Didats Triyadi, William Pramana and Thomas Arie.

Yogyakarta-based Ahmad Isnaini's Isnaini.com's templates are available for two kinds of blogging platforms: Blogger and WordPress. Some of the templates have Indonesian themes such as Borobudur and Merah Putih.

Didats.net
Also offered are both WordPress (Duaempat, Umalas and Ombax) and Blogger (Yogasawah) templates. Recently, Jakarta-based Didats.net was one of the famous blogs currently in Indonesia's blogosphere. His blog received a big hit and once experienced server downtime due to high visitor traffic.

Wpram.com
Instead of focusing on blog template designs, Sydney-based William Pramana's Wpram.com is actually an IT'journal blog. But its Golden Grey Theme is quite popular and has seen thousands downloaded so far.

Orangescale.com
Yogyakarta-based Thomas Arie's Orangescale.com's designs are familiar with blogging platforms such as Movable Type, WordPress, ExpressionEngine, and also Textpattern.
They not only provide free blog templates, they also give free blog-related consultations, advise and offer tips for their visitors. Everything.
How generous they are, right?

I belong to a generation that had
nothing to do with computing and computers.
Actually I got my first computer in 1987 and I used it as a typwriter (some of you maybe remember those 286,386,486 and then the explosion of Microsoft Windows world).
My educational backround is European in Economics and Law . My profession had nothing to do with PC and programming.
I am grateful to all this younger men and women that with their free postings, offering and spirit of sharing are changing the world.
They changed my world with their advice. Now I am not afraid of computing and I transfer my 25 years of experience in my profession to a new "data" and "net" world.
THANK YOU all of you anonymous and eponymous men and women.
