Signs of iPhone 5 coming--iPhone 4 prices drop, 3GS supplies tightens

Well we are finally seeing signs of the iPhone 5 coming. According to Engadget and Phone Arena, the price tag of the iPhone 4 is officially going down tomorrow. Major retailers like Radio Shack in the US will be slashing AT&T's 16GB iPhone 4 from US$199.99 to US$169.99 with a two-year contract and the 32GB version will drop from US$299.99 to US$269.99. As for the price of the 8GB 3GS, it will drop to a mere US$19.99, well, provided there's enough stock.

Another report we're getting is that stock for the iPhone 3GS has tightened and there just aren't enough being shipped out, hinting that it might be Apple's possible move to discontinue the unit ahead of the release of two possible new iPhones--the new iPhone 5 flagship and a cheaper prepaid model.

So for those wishing for the new version of iPhone, we're not that far away and for those wishing to upgrade their iPhone 3GS, hold on for another month or two.
