Poketo, there's more to it than just plastic wallets

About seven (or was it six) years ago, I found this Web site which sells cartoony plastic wallets. Poketo started off as an online shop that retails affordable handmade plastic wallets that have cute and colorful designs from various designers.

I am a big fan of Poketo and its cute and affordable plastic designer wallets. But, ironically, as an online shopping mistress, I never got my Poketo wallets online but off the shelves of San Francisco's Moma museum shop in 2008. And it was a lot more expensive than its online store price of US$20.

So yesterday, I decided to check out poketo.com and was pleased to see it carrying more varieties of products, apart from just plastic wallets. Hey, I love the wallets, but I can see the guys at Poketo are growing their business and catering to the bigger appetites of their customers because who will keep buying plastic wallets for the rest of their lives?

Growing with the times and providing what your customers need and want, but maintaining your company's visions and mission, help sustain and grow your business. And since Poketo has already established relationships with its artists, why not grow the products into wearables and household ware? Now, the e-tailer is selling mugs, stationery, wall decals, t-shirts, etc.

Now, I am in love with its t-shirts and stationery. So cute. It's become my fave t-shirt shopping site aside from threadless.com.

So kudos to the guys at Poketo. I wish you folks all the best in your business venture, and may we see more varieties of products on the site soon.
