Diamonds are girls' best friends and so is a USB drive
Sep 17, 2007 23:51Everybody knows that diamonds are a girl's best friend. So recently I have been "blinging" every gadget I have. My mobile phone, digital camera and even my laptop.
Last weekend, I went on a much-deserved shopping trip with my mommy and caught the Singapore-made movie 881 at Shaw Lido. While I was exiting Tangs, I saw a standalone counter at the main door. At first glance, I thought it was promoting crystalized accessories. But on closer look, it was actually a gadget. A USB Memory key.

That got me interested. It seems that two big brand names--Philips and Swarovski--both brains and beauty, have collaborated and come up with a very desirable line of USB Memory key and earphones called Active Crystals.
The USB memory keys comes in four designs, each containing 1GB of storage and retailing at S$313 each. While the crystalized earphones come in four designs of stainless steel, silver colored fabric cables and, not forgetting, Swarovski crystals. Retail price starts from S$144 to S$270.

Real nice :) The price is OK if you like the bling... and $313 is prolly gonna be cheaper than if you lost the data on it anyways. Just that now it motivates people to steal your data more than ever!

Talk about BLING BLING!!! I'm really inclined to agree with you on that "it motivates people to steal your data more than ever!" ...if it isnt enough that the hardware is a temptation for it to be stolen...it's like dousing a candle fire with gasoline with all that BLING! Just a thought...
