Buy easy with BuyButtonz

Singapore recently saw a new player in its local online payment gateway market, adding much excitement and anticipation to the growth of local online shopping.

Chain Fusion, with the collaboration with eNets, has created BuyButtonz which provides online merchants with a new form of easy and affordable payment gateway.

BuyButtonz recently held a launch event at Singapore's Far East Plaza mall, after inviting some 30 small business owners to test out the application. The event at Far East Plaza was very well-received and, to date, BuyButtonz has over a hundred signups for its service. Wireless@SG provided free wireless Internet access for the merchants manage their transactions on that day.

Well, I felt a bit sore as I wasn't invited to this prestigious event and had to hear it from my editor. I thought my Web site should be well-known enough to be invited to any new eCommerce launch. Anyway, as I know the creator of BuyButtonz personally (from way back during my dotcom days at Silkroute Ventures), I decided to send him an email to enquire more about this new platform (and also to give him a piece of my mind. haha).

Wong Wei Tuck, founder of Chain Fusion (which was also the company that powered the payment gateway for Yahoo Shopping Singapore way back), was more than happy to answer my questions.

So what is BuyButtonz and how does it work?

BuyButtonz is integrated with eNets, which enables merchants who are interested to accept online credit card and Internet banking payments through their Web site. It also works in blogs and emails, thus breaking away from the conventional payment gateway. It is SSL-secured and helps merchants collect payments and keep track of items sold.

BuyButtonz has a similar concept to what PayPal has with its "buy" buttons, but the former claims to be better and cheaper. There is also no monthly or annual subscription (like World Pay), but just a one-time signup fee (view table below). You can pay BuyButtonz through Internet banking or a credit card, which PayPal cannot offer as all PayPal merchants need credit cards to sell online, and in turn, your customers need to have a credit card and must subscribe as a PayPal user, too.

It is also a lot more convenient to use as you can embed the BuyButtonz script into emails and blogs, coupled with antifraud 2FA authentication by phone.

Another plus point is that BuyButtonz can be integrated into a fully functional online shopping mall, which means you do not need to hunt for another shopping cart that will support this system and thus redo your entire Web site.

Details of BuyButtonz:
Price to subscribe to BuyButtonz: S$68 for 24 BuyButtonz for one month
S$68 for 12 BuyButtonz for two months
S$68 for eight BuyButtonz for three months
S$68 for six BuyButtonz for four months
S$68 for four BuyButtonz for six months
S$68 for three BuyButtonz for eight months
S$68 for two BuyButtonz for 12 months
Bank transaction charges: Visa or Mastercard: 3.85 percent + S$0.50
AMEX: Pending
Internet banking: S$2 per transaction (flat fees)
Promotion:One free BuyButtonz for each new signup with a valid Singapore mobile phone number (valid for three months only).

As a seasoned online mall owner, I will have to see if BuyButtonz works for bigger online stores selling more than a dozen products. But BuyButtonz definitely appeals more to blog owners who are interested to make some money through their blogs, or for small Web sites that carry no more than two dozen products for sale. BuyButtonz subscription and bank transaction rates are definitely a whole lot cheaper than other payment gateways, and there isn't any of the usual hassle of waiting 30 working days for your sales money to be remitted into your bank account after the last transaction of the month.

With so many payment gateways to choose from, what is so special about BuyButtonz? For me, I see the ability to add a BuyButtonz into my e-newsletters, which enable my customers to purchase directly from my emails, as the number one plus factor.

I will definitely be signing up for BuyButtonz to test out this new function. Hopefully, my customers will be pleased by this new functionality and my sales will soar.

If you are interest to test out this new payment gateway, go to www.BuyButtonz.com to sign up for an account. And you know what? It will be just in time for the Great Singapore Sale. So click on the BuyButtonz below and sell, sell, sell!

Unfortunately, BuyButtonz is now bought over by ChainFusion Ltd, wich is a NIGHTMARE company to work with.

They still owe my company S$47652.26 SGD and they are now trying to shrug off the payment of my monies and blaimng eNETS who is only the merchant BANKING gateway and NOT the one who is keeping all business earnings. eNets will never do such a irresponsible thing. I personally wrote into eNets for help and they say that they are only the gateway behind BuyButtonz it is ChainFusion Ltd who is the ones.

They even signed a contract to admit their irresponsible behavior. Note that the contract is signed by ChainFusion Director who signed the checks that BOUNCED as well! All photos and details are on the blog. Stay away from BuyButtonz which is run by ChainFusion Ltd in Singapore's Beach Road! Go straight to eNETS Ltd. Don't take the risk with so much money involved.
I did and I am paying for it.
