Men can't resist pretty, sexy ladies offering their numbers

In a brilliant new online ploy by one of the most recognized sensual brands out there, Axe has started its online onslaught by, you guessed it, using a sexy femme fetale as the lead. Lexi Callher just added me on Facebook with her very seductive profile picture and intruiging name... naturally, what hot-blooded young male wouldn't resist such a tempting invite?

Lexi Callher: Axe Lady

After adding her, I was able to check out her profile and I saw in her photo album (duh, what else would I check out first?) the pictures of the Axe "Call Me" girls in one of the UAAP games... and then it hit me... this wasn't the first time I saw this campaign on TV. That's when I realized that this was another brilliant marketing campaign.

The recall was there, and the lure was there--and me, like any other hot-blooded males out there--bought it, hook, line and sinker.

Now they're invading the social-networking space, and according to one of Lexi's many Facebook status updates, "Lexi is crazy about social networking sites--I'm on Facebook, Friendster, Multiply, even Twitter and YM. Search me out if you're crazy like me". (What about Plurk? O_o)

Anyway, it seems like a good start to another effective online campaign. Like I said many times before, a good and effective online campaign starts with a great overall, above-the-lines campaign and is supplemented by some pretty unique online and on ground components. In this case, the sexy Axe girls holding up their placards during an intense UAAP game, stating: "Call Me! Free advertising since the big games are broadcast over the TV networks."

Expect to see more of Lexi and her crew. And, yes, I am seriously tempted to call Lexi to find out what all the fuss is about.
