Motorola uses DROID name under license from Lucasarts

The word DROID is used under license from Lucasfilm. What a difference an ALPHABET makes. Well done, George Lucas.

But given the license, Motorola should have:

Released a limited-edition phone with R2D2 livery for Star Wars geeks (re: All male baby boomers).

Sent out R2D2 toys to the media (done, see: http://www.androidauthority.com/index.php/2009/10/21/verizon-seems-serious-about-the-motorola-droid-sends-out-r2d2-toys-to-the-media/).

Call the limited-edition Moto Droid a "local region limited, non-mobile general-purpose familiar-class communications Astromech".

Released skins to add R2D2 livery to the people who didn't manage to get the 2,000 sets of limited-edition Astromech Moto Droids.

Released an attachment to the Motorola Droid to holographically project Princess Leia for Moto Droid owners, preferably the scene where she has to dance for Jabba, like this one:

(Do I have to pay license to Lucasfilm for using the word "Droid" in the article, editor? Please check with CNETt legal, will ya? I think those morons have enough cash from Motorola already. I don't want to add to that pot.)
